Nino Bauti Fashion

"Born in Seville, (Spain) to a Spanish/Italian family, Nino’s inspiration to start a career in fashion was his grandmother. During the Second World War and the 50s she was a famous house model for the master Balenciaga.

Fascinated by her glamour life in Paris and her connections with the painters, Nino began to study art history, specializing in the 20th century movements, after his graduation he decided to come to England to follow some specialize courses at Christie’s, however, he soon discovered his real passion and changed his application to be admitted in St. Martin’s college of Art & Design instead, beginning to study fashion design.

A promising talent, his teachers sent him to work for Alexander McQueen and Armani. Nino graduated in 2000 and his entire collection was bought by Joseph to go into production. A rising career, editorials started to pour in worldwide and Nino also received a sponsorship by Saga furs.

However, after 9/11 Nino decided that it was not the best climate for luxury fashion and started to work as a freelance stylist and writer for GQ and various Vogue publications. Nino has lived also in New York, Mexico and Paris.

In 2006 he teamed up with the fashion stylist Niki Brodie to create his own Women’s ready to wear line NINO BAUTI with his debut collection for Spring Summer 2007." Lovely! His work has been featured in numerous publications such as Wallpaper*, Elle and Vogue magazine. (images and text via his website) To browse through his website, click here.
