Oh so Marie Antoinette

A fresh year...brand new inspiration...2010. It has such a delightful and promising ring to it. A security in the solidity of the even numbers – though, I accidentally dated something 2009 today! I'm so looking forward to the surprises of this year. I have already put together a few posts that I cannot wait to share with you!

A huge thank you to my David, who came discovered these today, and for that matter, always seems to come across the most amazing photos, and has a keen sense of what we ladies like. {like here and here} The scheme of this collection of images is so fitting for a lookbook on glamorous jewelry, isn't it? Flawless art direction, I would say! Looking at these beautiful photos, instantly puts me in the mood for more Marie Antoinette...I could never tire of that movie and all the beauty from a foregone time. (what about you?) Beyond the captivating storyline that pulls so many emotional strings, I adore the meticulous staging, costume design, and of course, the setting of the film. One of my only regrets of my visit to France was not having the chance to stop in and walk through and around Versailles – though, there is always next time! Have you ever dreamed of visiting, or imagining how the inhabitants lived each day throughout the palace?...secretly, I would love to have a piece of it, even if just a wall sconce *wink.
