This week, I'm going to just post Brighton homes,
there are so many right now, it's too easy!!!

Lansdowne,
this home looks so Toorak at first,

but I guess Brighton has it's fair share of older stately homes too!

This is a very grand home, high ceilings,
ornate (likely original) architectural features like cornices.

Hardly a modern area, obviously a 70's sunroom add on,
but still charming in the context of the home.

Tho, i'm no fan of swags, even in a home like this!

And of course, swimming and tennis!

And here's the Master Plan!

AND here's what the Agent said about it!

Unique Luxury Estate in the heart of Brighton
One of Melbourne's finest residences - with links to composer/pianist Percy Grainger and Dame Nellie Melba - 'Lansdowne' combines Victorian elegance with modern comfort. Set on a massive 30,500sqft/2834sqm in the heart of Brighton, close to prestigious schools, beaches and Bay/Church Streets, it offers the perfect blend of grand family living. A light-filled Ashcroft conservatory overlooking fernery and pool, north/south tennis court with gym and cabana area, poolside bathroom, a large garden shed, low maintenance gardens and a self-contained apartment by the pool occupy the outside area. Inside is modern and bright, and comprises of a formal dining room with working fireplace, library, combined lounge/TV room, underground cellar, large laundry, modern spacious kitchen with Miele appliances and separate butler's pantry. Upstairs hosts 6 large bedrooms located in three 'wings', the master with twin walk-in robes and adjoining main bathroom with spa. Two additional bathrooms, built-in robes in all rooms and a large linen closet for added storage. Carpeted throughout, with all quality curtains, fixtures and light fittings included. A luxurious and private residence hidden away behind a wall of huge Moreton Bay Figs.

6 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms (spa), lounge room, library + self-contained flat (with ensuite)
Miele kitchen, formal dining, TV room, conservatory, hydronic heating, 8 open fires, air-con
cellar, heated pool, tennis court, cabana (with shower/toilet) bore/desal, 18,000L tank
private gardens, fernery, pond, monitored alarm system
