Mayfair

I was going through Ralph Lauren's home decor section, and came across this beautiful "Mayfair" collection that (I thought) perfectly embodies modern elegance and undertones of 1940s glamor. This sophisticated look features such well-tailored furniture, layered with touches of silver and pewter metallics, natural materials, and black and creams. I can practically hear classical music...

I cannot begin to pick out all of my favorite details within these images...the columns, the extensive moulding work, the roses, the canopy, etc. I could go on and on! These pretty rooms remind me to appreciate the timeless classic metal finishes. What are your thoughts on this look?
