Holly Golightly

She made the little black dress iconic...large sunglasses stylish...popularized flats, and made everybody around her fall for her personality, charm, and fashion sense! Who can resist Audrey Hepburn? She was such and authentic person with a huge heart and mega talent.

When I think of Audrey, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" instantly comes to mind. It was my first and one of my favorite Hepburn films. Her character, Holly Golightly, lived both a lavish and frugal lifestyle. She had such flair, whether she was dressed in her best, headed to Sing Sing, or wrapped up in a bed sheet hosting a party. (her sleeping mask was hilarious!) She was quirky — she kept her phone in a suitcase, her ballet slippers in her fridge and was crazy about Tiffany's!

She certainly didn't have very much, but everything she had, she made chic somehow...like the bathtub converted to a sofa...or drinking milk from a champagne glass. She might even be considered a modern day minimalist. I was thinking, the other day, how much fun it would be to put together a gift with a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" theme for a friend or family member, or maybe even add a touch of Holly's style to your own home! With a few key pieces, such as the ones shown above, (and the dvd of course) you're set!
