My deers, I had the most exciting weekend! I was in Atlanta for my 15-year college reunion, (see the lovely library, above?) and I was able to meet up with the stunning Dawn of The Alternative Wife, who happened to be in town as well. It was my very first blogger meetup, and I have to say that it was even more amazing than I could have imagined. Dawn was so, so cool and really beautiful and funny (which comes as no surprise if you know her blog), but more than that, I felt like we were already friends. Dawn met me at Emory to see the Indigo Girls in concert, and all was lovely until it was time for this poor New Yorker to take a cab back to her hotel! Atlanta isn't NYC by any stretch, and we ended up having to walk to Emory Hospital to find her a cab (she was a great sport, though!), so that is why she is standing next to the Emergency sign in my pictures above (as I documented the frustrating taxi search!). Anyway, I don't usually share personal photos and such here at The Deer, but I just wanted to share that blogging clearly can lead to awesome connections in the real world, and isn't that what it's all about?
