Oh, Yesterday

If someone had a camera, and had been filming my day yesterday, it would have made for an interesting little film! Yesterday was a disaster. There wasn't a particularly single thing that made it a disaster, but rather the accumulation of many little things that seemed to add up quickly. Rarely do I have off days. Furthermore, rarely do I want a day to end, but after my handbag breaking, nylons running, slipping, pill flying, head banging day (yes, I hit my head on the cupboard door while in search for Advil to cure my headache), it certainly amounted to a full-blown "off day". I gave up working and watched a movie instead, for fear of what might occur if I proceeded in the same manner. At one point I was laughing and crying at the same time. I was afraid to drive. (Can you blame me?) Thank goodness those days are few and far between...makes me appreciate smooth, productive, less clumsy days, such as today.

There is a great quote that I hadn't recalled for years, and was so fitting for yesterday. It's from the movie and novel "Anne of Green Gables": "Marilla, isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?"—I was so happy to reminded of that!
